the evening meal was acceptable, even with some options being unavailable.
i stayed for one night and found a few issues. the shower door was broken, it flooded the floor, not ideal. there was no air conditioning in the room and the bathroom fan worked on a noisy timer, so it was an uncomfortable night. it's a shame as the building is lovely, but these things impacted my stay.

The location was convenient and parking was easy.
I noticed a long hair in the bed sheets, not pleasant. The coffee machine was also non-functional. I couldn't brew coffee in the morning. There wasn't even any backup instant coffee available. The shower pressure was high, though the shower tray filled too quickly. I worried it would overflow.

The staff was attentive. The room provided ample space. I found the cleanliness of the room to a satisfactory level. The hotel provided complimentary cookies and coffee in the room. That was a plus.
The window was small. It did not allow sufficient ventilation.

Breakfast featured well presented english breakfast. I observed the serving staff maintained smiles. The terrace provided a spot to eat, with heaters available for cooler times, it seemed a good option.

Parking was free and large. This reduced concerns about finding parking. Peak District National Park seemed an easy destination from the hotel, which helped my journey to visit it.
